I think it's not wise to live and say that this world is terrible. There are so many great things in it that the bad things are totally overpowered...

This quote comes from somebody who's battled a lot of pain and struggle in her life and she is commenting on the stupidity of the consumer culture she was thrown into when she became a singer. She is saying that it doesn't matter how much money you make or how good you look or what kind of clothing you wear, that's all "bullshit". What's real is you as a person, not the world as a whole.
